| Vocabulary? |

I have a Sharp electronic Oxford dictionary (2002 version) and after some luck found a load of individual words that were subtitled "formal" or "literary". Examples are...
foregather, subfusc, malapropos, manducate, inebriate, reify, abjure, inanition, necrology, exculpate and many more.
Can either a person who has an electronic dictionary or is a linguist please name another full comprehensive list of words subtitled "formal" but please be informed not many words are "formal"
Thank you
p.s. I quoted the word formal because it could have many mixed meanings e.g ceremonial or aloof but that is not the case.
