QUESTION Why in such a modern society do we still continue to persecute homosexuals? I find it unfortunate that a state with such a large gay community like California no longer allows same sex couples to marry. I think the LGBT community got very lucky that the marriages were even considered valid. Why is this? And why did I nearly get suspended for trying to start a Gay Straight Alliance at my high school? I'm a 16 year old bisexual girl and I find this all so disheartening.
